JAPANESE AGRICULTURAL STANDARD (JAS) for organic plants issued by Ministry of Agriculture ,Forestry and Fisheries, Japan.

CCOF/California Certified Organic Farmers (USA)

CCOF was founded in 1973. CCOF provides certification services to all stages of the organic food chain from farmers to processors ,restaurants and retailers. CCOF certifies to the USDA National Organic Program standards and CCOF international standards.

USDA Organic /United States Department of Agriculture (USA)

USDA's National Organic Program (NOP) develops, implements, and administers national production, handling, and labeling standards for organic agricultural products. The NOP also accredits the certifying agents (foreign and domestic) who inspect organic production and handling operations to certify that they meet USDA standards.

QAI/ Quality Assurance International (USA)

Since 1989, QAI has been providing the highest level of organic certification service to its growing number of clients. QAI offers organic certification under the National Organic Program for Producers, Processors, Private Labelers, Distributors, Retailers, Restaurants, Wild Crop Harvesters, Greenhouse, Mushrooms, and Facilities. QAI also offers 'Fiber Certification' under the American Organic Standards.
 

Biologique Canada Organic ( Canada )

The Canada Organic Regime is the Government of Canada’s response to requests by the organic sector and consumers to develop a regulated system for organic agricultural products. The Organic Products Regulations define specific requirements for organic products to be labelled as organic or that bear the Canada Organic Logo. The Regulations will come into force on December 14, 2008.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is responsible for the monitoring and enforcement of the Regulations. Under the Regime, Certification Bodies will be accredited based on the recommendation of CFIA recognized Accreditation Bodies. The Certification Bodies are responsible for verifying the application of the National Standard for Organic Production Systems.

Soil Association (UK)

The Soil Association organic symbol is the UK's largest and most recognisable trademark for organic produce.The Soil Association also works actively at national, European and international levels with the aim of achieving consistently high organic standards across all bodies and authorities. For example they are a founder member of, and continue to play a leading role within, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM).

BDIH Germany

BDIH is the Association of German Industries and Trading Firms for pharmaceuticals, health care products, food supplements and personal hygiene products. The Association, located in Mannheim, Germany, has organized over 420 producers and distributors of

In 1996, working together with leading natural cosmetics producers, the BDIH developed comprehensive guidelines for certified natural cosmetics, keeping in mind the expectations of consumers. On the basis of these guidelines, an independent institute has tested more than 2.000 products for their contents and production methods.

Bio Siegel (Germany )

Since September 2001, all agricultural products and foodstuffs from organic farming may be labelled with the national Bio-Siegel (eco label) of Germany. The small hexagonal logo with the inscription "Bio" brings about clarity, uniformity and orientation for organic or eco products respectively. Consumers can rely on it: "If it says 'Bio' on the outside it contains organic products."

Only producers and manufacturers who comply with the provisions of the EU Organic Farming Regulation and subject themselves to the mandatory inspections may sell their products as organic or eco goods and label them accordingly with the Bio-Siegel.

                                           

Cosmebio ( France )

Cosmébio is the Professional Association of the Ecological and Organic Cosmetics which gathers the whole of the actors of the network :

  • suppliers of raw materials and ingredients,
  • manufacturers,
  • cosmetics laboratories,
  • distributors

All association members bearing the logos of the Ecological and Organic Cosmetics are committed to using natural and organic cosmetics and have been certified by an independent control organization.

ECOCERT ( Europe )

ECOCERT is a control and certification organisation, whose activities are governed accordingly by the public authorities and legislation. ECOCERT is accredited for structure and procedures by COFRAC (French committee for accreditation), in accordance with guide standard ISO 65 (EN 45011), which requires independence, competence and impartiality.

ECOCERT currently carries out inspections and certification services in over 80 countries outside the EU, on all continents.

DEMETER ( Europe )

Demeter is the brand for products from Biodynamic Agriculture. Only strictly controlled and contractually bound partners are permitted to use the Brand. A comprehensive verification process insures strict compliance with the International Demeter Production and Processing Standards, as well as applicable organic regulations in the various countries; from agricultural production to processing and final product packaging. Demeter requirements exceed government mandated regulations. Not only do they exclude the use of synthetic fertilisers and chemical plant protection agents in agricultural crop production, or artificial additives during processing, but also require very specific measures to strengthen the life processes in soil and foodstuffs. Demeter farmers and processors actively contribute toward the shaping of a future worth living for creating healthy foods.

ACO/Australia Certified Organic ( Australia )

ACO is Australia’s largest certifier for organic and biodynamic produce and has over 1500 operators within its certification system. ACO is a fully-owned subsidiary of Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA).

ACO provides certification services to operators from all sectors of the organic industry.  Certification ensures compliance with national production standards and allows trace back of all products to their origin.  

BFA / Biological Farmers of Australia ( Australia )

BFA actively works to influence standards development, represent views at government level, and support the growth of the Australian organic market. It provides assistance in market intelligence, exporting requirements, and development of contacts and networks. 

BFA continues to increase consumer awareness of organic food,supports growth of local food economies and remain active in lobbying for support for organic producers and in maintaining high standards across Australia.

NASAA / National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia ( Australia )

Formed in 1986, The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA) is the nation's leading organic certifier – focused on providing quality, cost efficient organic certification services. With operations both in Australia and Overseas, the company provides certification and inspection services, which assist in facilitating market access throughout the world for NASAA certified organic product.

NASAA was the first Australian certification body to achieve accreditation through the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). NASAA also holds accreditation under the US National Organic Program (USNOP).
 

Bio Gro ( New Zealand )
